Support of excellent research of Ivana Miháliková
1.3.2019The diploma thesis of Bc. Ivana Miháliková will be in 2019 supported by the Rectr´s programme – Excellent diploma thesis grant of the Grant agency of the Masaryk University.
Reopening of reconstructed Creep Lab
22.2.2019On February 20, 2019, we have restarted operations in our Creep Lab no. 2 after a complete reconstruction of the floor cover and the load bearing frame supporting the individual creep machines.

28.1.2019Institute of Physics of Materials has joined in National Competence Centre MESTEC. Main aim for establishing National Competence Centere (NCC) is to enhance complex model of efficient cooperation of research institutes and development capacities of companies for growth of technological competence in the area of smart components and technologies.
Results of research of IPM were presented on 53rd meeting of the Academy Assembly of the CAS
14.1.2019fesults of research of fatigue lifetime of railway axles with high service reliability and safety were presented on 53rd meeting of the Academy Assembly of the Czech Academy of Sciences (CAS). The cooperation between BONATRANS GROUP, a. s. and IPM CAS, led to development of new methodology for reliable lifetime prediction of railway axles.
Visitors‘ Day 2018
9.11.2018Laboratories of the institute as well as the Science Show Attention to high stress saw about 250 visitors during the day of the open door.

9.10.2018Mgr. Milan Heczko from the Institute of Physics of Materials (IPM) has been awarded the Thermo Fisher Scientific & Czechoslovak Microscopic Society fellowship for the support of scientific work of young researchers.
