Record attendance at Open Days 2024
9.11.2024 On November 7 and 8, 2024, our institute held open days as part of the Week of the Academy of Sciences. Due to the great interest in previous years, this year, for the first time, the event was a two-day event, bringing a record attendance – almost 500 visitors!
Ivo Šulák was awarded the Lumina quaeruntur grant
4.11.2024 At a ceremony held on 25 October 2024, nine scientists received the Praemium Academiae and Lumina Quaeruntur grant from CAS President Eva Zažímalová. Among the awardees is Dr. Ivo Šulák from the Institute of Physics of Materials, who was awarded the Lumina quaeruntur grant.

9.10.2024 The end of September attracted to Prague world experts in materials modeling, who took part in the 11th International Conference on Multiscale Materials Modeling (MMM11). This largest international conference in the field was held in the Prague Congress Center on September 22-27, 2024.
