Corrections of statistical size effects on fracture toughness characteristics of structural ceramics

Anotace

The main aim of proposed project is to explore a possibility how to adjust fracture toughness values tested at different conditions for purposes of comparisons between results of different specimen geometries and laboratories. The analyses of fracture toughness data scatters together with fractographics analyses obtained under different loading conditions allow finding a description of the statistical size effect from the point of view of material microstructure.
