Investigator | RNDr. Jiří Buršík, CSc., DSc. |
Number of Project | 8J19AT011 |
Agency | Ministerstvo školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy |
Duration | 2019-01-01 - 2021-12-31 |
Anotace |
The proposed MOBILITY project focuses on preparation and study of new nanostructured thermoelectric materials in the system of {Ti,Zr,Hf,Ta}xNb1-x{Fe,Co,Ni}Sb1-ySny half-Heusler alloys with the aim to optimize thermal and mechanical treatment and improve thermoelectric properties. The combination of know-how, expertise and equipment from both involved institutions is a perfect symbiosis with good synergies to tackle the proposed goals of the project. In the Institute of Physics of Materials, AS CR in Brno an equipment for thermal analysis (DTA and DSC), an equipment for Knudsen effusion mass spectrometry (KEMS) and means of analytical electron microscopy (TEM, SEM and EDX) are used together with calculations of structure and phase equilibria. In the Institut für Festkörperphysik, TU Wien equipment for the preparation of nanostructured thermoelectrics is available as well as experimental techniques for characterization of crystal structure, microstructure and a broad variety of property studies of thermoelectric materials. |
