Experimental research and modelling of modified fuel cladding under LOCA conditions

Anotace
The main topic of the project is experimental research of modified fuel cladding for the nuclear power-plant Temelin behaviour under LOCA conditions. Research will be divided in two branches , namely high temperature oxidation and high temperature creep. Mechanical testing of material after LOCA transient will be very important for evaluation of the safety – related criteria. Preoxidation and hydridation of samples will be used for simulation of degradation of material under normal operation conditions. Further, subchannel analysis code for modelling LOCA accident will be developed. Calculation code will included software modules based on oxidation and creep experimental results obtained by this project.
