Differential Scanning Calorimeters, DSC 204 Phoenix and DSC 404 Pegasus by Netzsch

The devices are used for the study of phase transformations in solids. DSC 204 is dedicated for low temperatures (-180 °C to 700 °C) and DCS 404 for high temperatures (to 1600 °C) range.

Differential scanning calorimetry is an experimental method that allows us to study the thermal effects of physical processes occurring in the material. These thermal processes may be studied in dependence on the temperature or time during a defined temperature program. In our laboratory, these instruments are especially used for the study of phase transformations in solids.
