New wheel design for freight transport with higher utility properties

Anotace
The aim of the proposed project is to develop a prototype of a new stress-optimized wheel of the fourth generation BTG design with higher utility properties. Its design will be derived on the basis of a comprehensive methodology, which will be developed within this project. This methodology will be designed to take into account the applied intensive braking cycles while meeting all the requirements of existing standards necessary for the operation of these wheels. These fourth-generation wheels will gradually replace the portfolio of stress-optimized wheels already in production, thus increasing BTG's competitiveness in the global market. Better knowledge of fatigue properties will also allow more efficient weight optimization and noise emission reduction for developed wheels.
