Anotace
The aim of this project is to develop a methodology for correlative measurements of magnetic properties and surface topography using the scanning probe microscope LiteScope. Specifically, we will utilize commercial MFM probes (NenoVision) for characterizations of surface magnetic moments around slip traces and deformation twins in plastically deformed materials, including correlations with the signal obtained from SEM. These studies will make it possible to verify the predictions of atomistic simulations based on empirical potentials with the influence of a magnetic field. At the same time, these measurements will allow the characterization of the sizes of magnetic domains, and thus determination of the degree of magnetic anisotropy in the studied materials.
