Phase equilibria in Zn-Sn-X metallic systems for high-temperature lead-free solders
Investigator | RNDr. Aleš Kroupa, CSc. |
Number of Project | OC08053 |
Agency | Ministerstvo školství, mládeže a tělovýchovy |
Duration | 2007-12-31 - 2011-06-29 |
Anotace |
The aim of this project is to study the multicomponent systems, which are possible candidate materials for the high temperature lead-free soldering, mainly from the point of view of the thermodynamic properties and phase equilibrium diagram assessments (WG 1). These results will serve as a background for evaluation of other physical and mechanical properties of prospective high-temperature solders. The study will cover materials convenient for soldering in the temperature range 230-350 °C, and are very important for the applications in the aerospace and automotive industry or for soldering in combination with multilayered metallisations, etc. The basic systems can be characterised as Sn-Zn-X (X = Al, Mg, Ni, Pd, Sb). |
