The long-term cooperation of Prof. Ivo Dlouhý with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering BUT in Brno and the direct 15-year management of the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering FME BUT were awarded twice.
The dean of the faculty awarded Prof. Ivo Dlouhý silver medal named after Prof. Píšek, co-founder of the Metals Research Laboratory of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, later the Institute of Physics of Materials of the Czech Academy of Sciences, as an expression of appreciation for his contribution to maintaining the affiliation of both institutions. At the same time, the results of organizational work, efforts in the development of new subjects, highly cited publications, and successful management of strategic projects were awarded in this form. On the occasion of the 125th anniversary Academic Assembly of BUT in Brno, Ivo Dlouhý was awarded a silver BUT memorial medal by the Rector for outstanding achievements that contributed to the development of BUT in the areas of research, development and innovation, and creative activities.
