The first weekend of September in Brno brought hot summer weather and a lot of fun scientific experiments at the Brno Exhibition Center. The 11th year of the Science and Technology attracted thousands of science enthusiasts.
More than four dozen scientific institutions, educational organizations, and private companies invited interactive demonstrations from the world of science, technology, and history. Our institute could not be absent from this event. In addition to the experiment stand, we prepared an escape game for visitors.
At the stand, visitors could learn how we test materials or how difficult it is to break steel wire, thanks to the model of the Charpy hammer! The most daring could try it on their own skin. In the end, we also showed the „tension“ in the materials using the photoelastic phenomenon.
