Anotace
The primary goal of the project is to broaden the cooperation between the Institute of Physics of Materials of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the two teams from Civil Engineering Faculties of TU Wien and Brno University of Technology. In the framework of this cooperation, a coherent research of nonlinear fracture behaviour of silicate-based composites, the most commonly utilized group of materials in civil engineering, is planned to be conducted. The aim of the proposed project is to solve subsequent part of this rather demanding research based on results obtained within previous cooperation. Main attention will be paid to investigation of failure initiation and fracture of selected quasi-brittle building materials using double-K fracture model. A thought out experimental campaign and numerical analyses will be conducted. The test results will be evaluated in an advanced way and the quantification of the parameters describing the fracture resistance of selected composites dependent on the fibre’s type, dosage and length on the initiation and propagation part of the fracture progress will be systematically carried out.
