Planetary ball mill Fritsch Pulverisette 4

Two-position mill for high-energy milling of powder materials under controlled atmosphere

The mill utilises planetary principle to achieve high-energy milling in two bowls with a volume of up to 500 ml. The mill rotates the sun disc and the two milling bowls are connected to a satellite wheels and performs planetary motion. The speed of the grinding bowls can be set in a variable gear ratio of 0-2.96 to the speed of the sun disc. The rotation speed of the sun disc can be set in the range of 0-400 rpm. Independent control of the rotation of the milling bowl in the mill makes it possible to find the optimal milling conditions for a given geometry and weight of the milling bowl and milling balls. Thanks to this, the mill makes it possible to change the interaction energy of the milling bals in the range from 0 mJ to approx. 35 mJ. Steel and WC-Co hard-metal grinding bowls with a volume of 250 ml and 500 ml are available for the mill.
