Planetary ball mill Fritsch Pulverisette 6

Single-position mill for high-energy milling of powder materials under controlled atmosphere

The mill utilises planetary movement to achieve high-energy milling using single bowl of milling volume up to 500 ml. The mill rotating main sun disc and the milling bowl is connected to a satellite wheel and performs planetary motion. The rotating speed of the milling bowl is set in a fixed gear ratio of 1.82 to the speed of the sun disc. The speed and energy of grinding are controlled by the speed of the sun disk in the range of 100-650 rpm. The energy required for the realization of the milling process or the process of mechanical alloying is derived by the interaction of the grinding balls with the ground powder in the grinding bowl. Polymer, corundum ceramic, steel and WC-Co hard-metall grinding bowls with a volume of 250 ml and 500 ml are available for the mill.
