Researchers and students from the Institute of Physics of Materials of the Czech Academy of Sciences presented their latest scientific findings at the annual conference of the Czechoslovak Microscopy Society held in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.
The Annual Conference of the Czechoslovak Microscopy Society – MICROSCOPY 2026 took place from June 1 to 3, 2026, at the Hotel Relax in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. This professional event serves as a platform for sharing knowledge in the field of microscopic methods and their applications in both material and natural sciences. In addition to the lecture and poster sessions, the conference program included an excursion during the Monday morning block.

The Institute of Physics of Materials (IPM) was represented by researchers and students who contributed the following presentations:
- Doc. Stanislava Fintová delivered a lecture titled Elucidation of internal damage using FIB tomography.
- Doctoral student Markéta Gálíková presented a poster titled Creep–fatigue interaction under thermomechanical loading in additively manufactured Inconel 939.
- Graduate student Michal Gerža presented a poster titled The Influence of Solution-Annealing Parameters on the Microstructure of Additively Manufactured IN939.
- Dr. Ivo Kuběna also actively participated in the professional program and discussions.
The participation of the Institute’s representatives and the presented scientific outputs were supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences Strategy AV21 scheme, specifically as part of the program „The power of objects: Materiality between past and future„ hosted at the Institute of Physics of Materials.
