Dr. Aleš Kroupa has been appointed chairman of The Alloy Phase Diagram International Commission (APDIC) after serving a two-year term as vice chairman. The non-profit organization APDIC aims to promote the importance of phase diagrams, their evaluation, and the dissemination of information on thermodynamics and phase equilibria in complex systems. An integral part of its mission is also to support their application in both industry and academia.
