As part of the “IPM Alternative-Fuel Vehicle” project, a new Toyota Proace City commercial vehicle with a fully electric powertrain was purchased. The new electric vehicle will be used primarily for the institute’s day-to-day operational and technical-administrative needs.
By acquiring this electric vehicle, the Institute of Physics of Materials continues to gradually modernize its operational infrastructure and implement measures to reduce its carbon footprint. This step builds on the Institute’s long-term efforts toward more responsible and sustainable operations, more efficient use of resources, and support for environmentally friendly solutions.
The project (reg. no. 5251100440, supported under Call No. 11/2025 of the National Environment Program) was implemented with support from the State Environmental Fund of the Czech Republic and funds from the National Recovery Plan. The project’s goal is to promote low-emission mobility and help reduce the institution’s negative environmental impact.
